Progress is being made in the revision of the General Urban Development Plan (PGO) in Los Llanos de Aridane.
The tendering process has been completed and the contract for drafting the new PGO has now been awarded. The preparation of the plan is expected to take approximately four years. It should be noted that building permits in Los Llanos de Aridane can only be granted again once the new PGO has been formally approved.
Thanks to the new Land Law, which came into force on 1 September 2017, the approval of the PGO by the local council of Los Llanos de Aridane could be accelerated. As a result, the estimated timeframe of four years may be reduced. This is mainly because the new legislation grants local councils greater discretion in the approval of construction projects.
